For Netflix’s Daredevil, the title sequence set the tone for a darker, more grounded take on the Marvel universe. Eschewing traditional comic book stylization, we built a moody, tactile 3D world that mirrors Matt Murdock’s inner conflict and the shadowed complexities of Hell’s Kitchen.
Through vignettes of in-world elements, the story is revealed piece by piece as we trace the hidden past and emotional descent that shaped the man beneath the mask. The result is a haunting, slow-burn opener that immerses the viewer in a world of fractured justice, inner demons, and moral ambiguity.
